Cantus - Covers: A Change is Gonna Come (6/1/2022 - 6/10/2022)

Cantus, a vocal ensemble in Minneapolis, hosted their 15th Covers performance - a 5 show performance full of uniquely and creatively crafted covers of artists from Marvin Gaye to Gwen Stefani.

I was invited to program and operate the lights for the Covers performance at the Music Box Theater. This particular set of performances where full of many “firsts” - first concert since 2020, first vocal ensemble ever, and first time I have received recognition by both the on-stage performer(s) and the audience. After the show, I received the following comment from an audience member via email:

“There are not enough superlatives to describe tonight's Covers concert. Kudos to all! …the lighting design created an ambiance and energy very appropriate for the evening's program”
